Who operates this site

PrudentDev is the public-facing brand of Prudent Dev, LLC, a United States limited liability company.

Contact inquiries

When you submit the contact form, we store the information you provide so we can review and respond to the inquiry. A copy may also be delivered to our business inbox through a server-side SMTP connection. Do not submit passwords, classified information, protected health information, private keys, or other secrets.

Anonymous attribution

The site creates a random first-party visitor identifier and records the first landing page, referring host, campaign parameters when present, last visit time, and a page-view count. We use this to understand which work brings qualified inquiries. We do not store an IP address, advertising identifier, or cross-site browsing history in this attribution record.

Cookies

The public site uses one first-party, HTTP-only attribution cookie named pd_vid. It contains only a random identifier and expires after 180 days. The private administrator area uses a short-lived, HTTP-only authentication cookie after a successful sign-in.

External status badge

The footer loads the current prudentdev.com status badge from SiteInformant, another PrudentDev project. Loading that badge makes a standard web request to api.siteinformant.com; selecting it opens the public status page in a new tab.

Security and retention

Administrative access is server-authorized. Contact submissions and attribution records are stored in a server-side SQLite database. Access is limited to the configured administrator. Records should be reviewed and removed when no longer useful for their stated purpose.

Operational diagnostics

Server diagnostics may record the request path and method, response status, duration, a request identifier, and technical error details. They are configured not to record contact-form fields, passwords, password hashes, authentication cookies, or SMTP credentials. When enabled, operational events are sent to LogInformant as a service provider and retained only as long as reasonably needed to secure and operate the service.
